Known to locals as 'Dumby', this is lowland Scotland's premier rock-climbing venue, with easy access from Glasgow. There is also a collection of giant boulders at Dumbarton, which offer over 300 documented problems across a wide range of grades. These range from easy to Fb8’s, with problems such as Pongo, Sabotage, Pressure, Sanction and Gutbuster being amongst Scotland's world-class bouldering test pieces. Detailed are 4 Fontainebleau style bouldering circuits, ranging in difficulty from orange, then blue, red, and then black being the hardest circuit.

The guidebook covers 100 trad and sport routes, plus 300 boulder problems. All routes and boulder problems are shown on colour photo topos along with a description.
